PERFECT OILS FOR BODY AND FACE MASSAGE

This year can have us feeling like romance shmomance. But whether we’re celebrating Valentine’s day alone or with a special someone, what better way to express love than creating a spa-like massage experience at-home?

On the sweetest day of the year, treat yourself with some transformative “we” or “me time” while also cozying up to some amazing anti-aging oils for younger-looking skin. Calm your mind and relax your body with a facial and body massage using natural oils for healthy skin.

UPLIFTING FACIAL MASSAGE

While Argan Oil is one of the best oils for wrinkles, it also works well as a face massage oil. Facial massage not only helps relieve stress, particularly headaches, earaches and TMJ tension (jaw) but also improves circulation and lifts facial muscles for a rejuvenating glow. (For a full 9 step guide on ‘effleurage’ of the face, please refer to a Timeless blog here)

As one of the best natural face oils for anti-aging, Argan is packed with omega fatty acids and Vitamin E, excellent for repairing and healing the skin. For a tingling head massage, you can work it into your hair too, nourishing a dry scalp and dull hair, while at the same time strengthening your nails and cuticles!

For a facial massage that can help achieve beautiful and glowing skin right on time for Valentine’s Day, Certified and Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist Shelly Leggins suggests trying the following:

  1. On clean skin, apply Hyaluronic Acid 100% Pure and allow to absorb into the skin as it calms and cools the skin.
  2. Dispense 2-3 pumps of Argan Oil 100% Pure into the palm of your hand and rub together before applying all over the face. Argan oil is a great carrier oil and you can also add your favorite essential oils for an enhanced experience. Massage for 5-8 minutes to promote circulation while infusing beneficial properties of the oil.
  3. Spritz with hydrating HA Matrixyl®️ 3000 with Rose Spray. Use a dry, clean cloth to remove any residue from the face. Follow with the application of Squalane Oil 100% Pure to seal in moisture and protect the skin.
  4. Enjoy a fresh glow and renewed skin vitality.

HYDRATING BODY MASSAGE

Body massage increases overall well-being, from stress and pain relief, to decreasing blood pressure. But most importantly, proper massage therapy improves circulation and helps flush out toxins to boost the immune system (and it just feels great!). Whether you’re into Shiatsu or Swedish, body massage can help you feel better physically, mentally and emotionally.

If you’re wondering whether oil, cream or gel is best for giving massages, oil is hands down our favorite. Olive derived Squalane is a naturally sourced type of olive oil for the skin that helps to relieve that tight, dry feeling, and works extremely well as a body moisturizer. Squalane oil benefits acne-prone skin too -it’s a ‘dry oil’ with antibacterial properties.

PS - HYALURONIC ACID 100% PURE

Argan and Squalane Oils are some of the best face oils to add to your skin care routine, and for an extra layer hydration, try applying Hyaluronic Acid Serum 100% Pure.

You can use hyaluronic acid for the body, on legs, and even mix your body lotion with hyaluronic acid. It boosts skin moisture levels, while assisting in the delivery of active ingredients across the skin.

And for those hard to condition areas such as the hands, elbows and knees, Shelly Leggins suggests this four step routine:

  1. Dry brush using a brush with stiff bristles against the skin to help exfoliate dead skin cells and increase blood flow. For exfoliating of the hands, try a facial scrub.
  2. After a light cleanse, apply Hyaluronic Acid 100% Pure for hydration.
  3. Follow with Argan Oil 100% Pure using friction therapy massage technique to increase circulation and release areas that are tight.
  4. Finish with Squalane Oil 100% Pure to seal in moisture and restore the dull, rough areas with more vibrant and healthier skin.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! XOXO
